Set-up Instructions for Cloudifi Guest Connect in the Meraki Dashboard
Cloudifi Guest Connect is a simple, robust, reliable, secure and fast Captive Portal for use with Cisco Meraki APs and MX Security Appliances.
Please note: we don’t have a customer facing portal, all configuration is done by our team based on the request submitted by the customer via the form found at https://www.cloudifigc.com/pages/cloudifigc-order for live installations. You should submit a request using this form first.
The authenticated Guests can be viewed directly in the Meraki Dashboard under Network>Clients - here you can click into their session to obtain details on it, revoke it, whitelist the client etc.
If you have any questions, please email the team at Cloudifi using our contact page.
Set Up Steps for the Demo solution
Some setup of the Meraki Dashboard is required to use Cloudifi Guest Connect. In particular, “Matching the Filter-Id RADIUS attribute with a Group Policy for sign-on splash” is required, as well as Radius Accounting and Domain names for Walled Gardens enabled on the Meraki Dashboard – please contact Meraki support to have these turned on within your organisation.
More info on the Filter-ID RADIUS attribute is mentioned below:
Radius for Splash Page
Radius Accounting - ENABLE
Enable data-carrier detect: disabled (if this option is present in your Dashboard)
Test Radius operation with username "meraki-ping", password "ping-test", to test that our Cloud Radius server is reachable.
IMPORTANT: If not reachable, please send the export of your Meraki Dashboard Firewall settings (csv file) to us asking for these to be added to our Guest Connect servers – once we confirm they have been added you can test again.
Captive portal strength: Block all access until sign-on is complete
